ARCHITECT
AMIEL DE OMAMPO MANALO, UAP
"Architecture fascinates me. With a desire to explore how science and technology can be used to improve the performance of buildings both socially and environmentally, Architecture has brought out the dichotomy of my personality, allowing me to engage both creatively and scientifically with the aesthetic and functional aspects of design... it enables me to combine the strongest aspects of my personality; a fascination with functional art and design, particularly arrangements of light and space; enthusiasm for solving practical problems; and working with other people. Growing up in the province of Pampanga, a province in Central Luzon Philippines which was destroyed by lahar in the year 1995 I wasn't lucky to be surrounded by the Architectural wonders, all the buildings were just ruins, all are dull and grey, therefore I started dreaming from early childhood to see my surroundings beautiful that's why in the young age I started drawing and making houses of my dreams. I believe that having a visual stimulus in our environment is important. Architecture is a natural choice for me. I love the thrill of solving a problem in spaces, physics and everyday life. I do this with an imagination and enthusiasm that has propelled me to finish my studies in college, taking Bachelor of Science in Architecture at Don Honorio Ventura Technological State University, passing the Board Exam in Manila and becoming a Registered and Licensed Architect, and now life goes on; Architecture has always stood out as the perfect career path for me. I always believe that creation is a powerful skill, an intriguing ability evolving from our imaginations and perspectives. By formulating our own unique creations, we may endeavour to create a parallel between our imagination and the world in which we live."
